What??? Visiting Heaven Without Going Through a Near-Death Experience? THIS IS HOW!
We hear and watch those beautiful testimonies and stories of people dying for a while and visiting Heaven before they are sent back to their bodies, and many of us are marveled, especially us who believe in God and His abode, and others are skeptical, yet they can’t ignore those documented facts.
For us who love the topic of Heaven, we are left amazed, yet a little bit frustrated, because experiencing Heaven will be in our future when we die. Those who are Christ’s followers know with full assurance that, because they believe in Jesus, they will definitely access Heaven, because Jesus promised us that based on His righteousness. This is great, yet theologically scary and blasphemous at the same time. Why? Because if you will access Heaven only after you die, it means death is your savior unto Heaven and not Jesus Christ.
Jesus said that He is the door, not death. In Christ, you have access to many things: the life and presence of God, His promises, the angelic realm, and Heaven itself, where you are seated now.
“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6
In Christ, you are seated — in the past, not in the future. Where are you seated? In the heavenly realms. You have access to Heaven from now, here on earth, right this moment, without going through a near-death experience, God forbid.
The Word of God says that you are a citizen of Heaven. It is your legal right in Christ to enjoy your citizenship in those high places. Well, I may be a citizen of a great country, having the passport and the legal documents, yet I reside in another country and do not make the effort to visit my homeland. It’s on me. I legally can visit, but I am not. This is what you need to focus on and learn about, and allow the Holy Spirit to awaken you to this truth and tangible reality. Your physical senses are acquainted with the natural and visible realm by means of practice; you can train your spiritual senses to connect with the reality of God and His beautiful abode.
I never feel strange in my home where I live — it is my home, right? Heaven and God’s presence should feel and be your home. Actually, you should know more about it, because it is your eternal one.
Many Christians believe in and experience the presence of God with them, but rarely do those believers enter spiritually into the heavenly abode. Don’t get me wrong — God’s presence is the greatest, and yes, you have access to His presence all the time, but also to His abode, the heavenly city that He built for you. You can encounter that in the Spirit while you are here on the earth, living in your body. Jesus did that as the Son of Man, and He is the author and the finisher of your faith. What Jesus did on earth, you can do too, because you have the same Holy Spirit that Jesus has.
“No one has ascended to heaven except the One who descended from heaven — the Son of Man WHO IS IN HEAVEN.” John 3:13
Jesus said those words to Nicodemus when He was in the flesh.
You are a citizen of Heaven. It came with a huge price — the blood of Jesus Christ. Start acting like it.
How well do you know the rooms of your house?
