From Natural to Supernatural: Shifting Awareness to See in the Spirit
“When Peter came to himself, he said, ‘Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me…’”
Acts 12:11
Beloved, we are living in a time where God is awakening His people to the invisible realm of the Spirit like never before. The supernatural is not reserved for the few — it is your inheritance in Christ. You were born again into a realm of glory that is alive, active, and accessible.
Peter’s story in Acts 12 carries a powerful prophetic message for the Body of Christ today. He was chained between soldiers, guarded on all sides, and surrounded by what looked like an impossible situation. And yet — in that dark place — an angel of the Lord appeared, light flooded the cell, and Peter was supernaturally delivered.
Here’s what’s striking: Peter didn’t even realize it was real.
He thought it was a vision — a dream.
Only after he had passed through the iron gate and was standing in the street did he “come to himself” and realize, “This actually happened. I’ve been rescued!”
There’s a key here, friends:
Peter had to lose natural consciousness to step into supernatural reality.
God Moves in the Stillness
Throughout Scripture, we see this theme repeated:
- Adam was put into a deep sleep — and God brought forth Eve (Genesis 2:21).
- Abram was overcome by deep sleep when God cut covenant with him (Genesis 15:12).
- Jacob dreamed of a ladder reaching into Heaven. And when he woke up, he said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it!” (Genesis 28:16).
- Daniel received dreams and visions in the night watches.
- Peter fell into a trance on a rooftop and received a vision that opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles.
- Paul was caught up into the third heaven.
God often bypasses the intellect to engage the spirit.
He doesn’t need your analysis — He’s after your surrendered awareness.
Living by Faith, Not by Sight
While not everyone will have a trance, a vision, or an angelic visitation, you don’t need one to experience the Kingdom. Jesus said:
“The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)
Every believer has access to the unseen realm through faith.
When you turn your attention away from the world’s noise and still your soul before Him, you posture yourself to encounter the living God.
Faith lifts you above the veil.
Stillness aligns you with the Spirit.
Purity of heart becomes the lens through which you see Heaven’s activity.
He’s moving. He’s speaking. He’s revealing.
Open your spirit. Surrender your heart. Step into the realm that’s been open all along.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
Matthew 5:8
God Bless You
