New Beginnings With Christ
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Pinoy readers,
A blessed and joyful New Year to each one of you! We have stepped into this new year by the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus.
As we let go of the old and embrace the new, let us reflect on God’s call to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-2:
“The LORD had said to Abraham ‘Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.’”
This command was based on faith and God’s covenant. He instructs us to leave the old behind and move forward, trusting that He will provide. While this doesn’t always mean physically leaving our home (though some may be called to do just that please use discernment!), the message is clear: we must be willing to let go of the familiar. The Lord cannot pour new blessings into our lives while we hold on to what we clearly know we should let go of. His covenant is strong, and He faithfully provides for those who obey in faith. Let us move forward this year with prayer and trust in Him. This can be difficult but with faith in the Lords promise as many of you may have heard Him in the spirit directing you to do a specific thing , you are called to do it. He will back you up. Walk in faith!
Entering a new year is a blessing, and with it comes an obligation to honor God through our actions not only toward Him but toward one another. I pray we all understand that respect and kindness must be daily practices, not just something we extend during the holidays.
This year, let us make a vow to God: to be kind and polite, to stop complaining about others, to stop ignoring those who show us kindness, and to avoid harsh replies even when we are rushed or stressed.Everyone is in a rush in one way or the other,
and let us be humble not conceited : no one’s work is more important than the others in this world so it’s no excuse to be unkind to others either through actions or replies. God has made us equal,
we may have different roles but we are not called to say we are better than our neighbor or friend. This minute we humble ourselves cause that’s what God calls for is the minute He exalts us. Don’t put others down and think for a minute you are better just cause you are busier, busier many times means not spending time with God and simply chasing worldly things such as fame, and fortune. We have an obligation to respect and honor one another. When we choose to respect and honor others, watch how the atmosphere around us changes.God repays us with kindness according to the kindness of our heart towards other individuals. Repent for anytime you have been harsh or unkind to anyone. The Holy Spirit will not let you rest till you repent and if needed even apologize to the person.
As it is written in Ephesians 4:32:
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
And let us reflect on Galatians 6:10:
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Should we not seize every opportunity to do good? Are we not filled with the Holy Spirit? If so, let our lives reflect it. Let us be kind, considerate, and examples of Christ’s love.
Let us close with a prayer I wrote :
Lord Jesus, we come to You with hearts filled with gratitude. Let Your presence be made known to all those around us, so that they too may believe and have hearts set on fire for the Holy Spirit.
As we walk into this new year, we ask You to bless us with good health, grace, and glory. In moments of fear, fill us with Your perfect peace and calm. We move forward holding on to You, Lord. Please do not forsake us.
We praise Your holy name. Amen and amen we glorify You till eternity !
