Reminiscing on the goodness of God is an act that every child of God must master. This magnifies Him and demoralizes your fears. God is capable and forever the same.

It’s funny that it can be the solution to the challenges you’re confronted with. It is capable of giving the strength and courage needed to move forward.

David recounted to Saul his experience with a lion and a bear that had taken a lamb out of his father’s flock when he was tending them in the field.

“1 Sam 17:34 – But David persisted. “I have been taking care of my father’s sheep,” he said. “When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock,
1 Sam 17:35 – I go after it with a club and take the lamb from its mouth. If the animal turns on me, I catch it by the jaw and club it to death.
1 Sam 17:36 – I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for he has defied the armies of the living God!
1 Sam 17:37 – The LORD who saved me from the claws of the lion and the bear will save me from this Philistine!” Saul finally consented. “All right, go ahead,” he said. “And may the LORD be with you!”

This gave him enough courage and as well strengthened his belief in the God of Israel to confront the uncircumcised Philistine.

That victory and testimony of yesterday could be the drive you need to enter into a greater one. Take time to reflect. He is a good God.
