We’ve complicated Love
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched–this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.” 1 John 1:1
Talking about Jesus, the apostle of Love John the beloved said he has heard love, he has seen love and he has touched love. Jesus is yesterday, today and forever, love doesn’t change, people do when they are loved. This same experience that John had when Jesus was in the flesh, God wants you to have it today. Jesus is alive and he sent his Spirit, the Spirit of Love for you to experience the fullness of God’s love. The question is do you have ears to hear love? Do you have eyes to see Love? Will you stretch your hands by faith to touch love? The glory of the Lord fills the earth as waters cover the sea, it is not that you lack the love presence of Jesus with you; it is your lack of communion with him that is keeping you out of this glorious experience. Communion with the Lord positions you to receive his love and give your love back to him. Jesus said if you are thirsty come drink, there is a river of love that is flowing toward you and will not cease a day. God loves you always but the saddest experience of all is the missed experience to be lavished and overwhelmed by his Love. I can’t tell you what Love looks like, I will try hard to describe it and maybe I can stir your appetite for it but the knowledge of love will not change you, the experience and the infilling of this love will. God’s love for you is personal, he knows you by name, he touches you intimately, he speaks to you in your language, all the dealings of his love are so real and waiting for you, just be available to be LOVED ON.
Glory to God
